New World Recognition for Accounting
ACCA is the global professional accounting body offering the Chartered Certified Accountant qualification. Headquartered in London it is one of the world’s most influential and largest accounting professional bodies with 178000 members and 455000 students in 180 nations. University of Economics - Varna is proud to announce that its Bachelor programme ‘Accounting’ (in English) is now an ACCA Accredited programme and has secured six-papers exemptions from examination papers at the ACCA (Association of Chartered Certified Accountants) Qualification. This is the first bachelor program in Bulgaria accredited by ACCA.
Graduates of the programme will be entitled to exemptions from 6 exam papers of the ACCA Qualification:
- Accountant in Business (AB)
- Management Accounting (MA)
- Financial Accounting (FA)
- Corporate and Business Law (LW)
- Performance Management (PM)
- Financial Reporting (FR)
Accreditation by the ACCA puts a stamp of approval on bachelor programme Accounting of the University of Economics-Varna. It also benefits students by showing that they have studied at a level that meets standards which were developed by experts in the field. Students choosing this programme would gain a competitive edge in the jobs market. The graduates of the programme might benefit from exemption accreditation by the largest international accounting body. Students who wish to pursue a professional accountancy qualification on completion of their academic studies are now able to obtain an accelerated route to ACCA membership.
